Kim Barlow has been the conductor of the Gravenhurst Bifocals Concert Band since 2016.
She received her Bachelor of Music from Wayne State University and has been involved in the community music scene in Muskoka since 1998. She has taught students of all ages and was a co-founder of the Kingfisher Cottage Band, a band for adult beginners, taught with Kathy Kilbourne. She is active in several musical ensembles, including the Muskoka Concert Band, the Orillia Silver Band, Muskoka Dixie, the Wildwood Quintet, the Lake Effect Jazz Quintet, Women of the Woods, Bluebird, and the Bee Charmers, as well as various musical theatre pit orchestras from time to time.
When she's not making music she enjoys mosaic projects and sewing.
